Welcome to the SolarGo2 SL004 shed light.

This robust light, with its aluminium casing, has a separate solar panel giving you the flexibility of having the light inside a building or undercover while the solar panel enjoys the outside life, soaking up all the sun's rays.

This light has an amazing run time of up to 18 hours from a full battery charge or 12 hours at full output. Both the light unit and the solar panel are built to last outside in all weathers and include simple brackets allowing you to attach them to a wall or a roof with 2 screws.

Once up and running this light will be the ideal accessory for your shed, outbuilding, caravan awning or even a horse box / stable. Its 4000 lumens will easily light up a 6 x 6 metre area.

A small colour LED indicator lets you see if the light is charging from its solar panel during the day and how much power is stored inside the internal battery. Its power button or remote control let you select between various working modes and timers with a colour LED clearly indicating the mode you have set. Adding to this light it also includes the brilliant ASL2.1 and TCS Technologies**

It has various working modes and brightness levels, that can be selected by a press of the buttons on the remote control.

Outdoor modes include:

Sunny, cloudy, and rainy modes. These dim the light to suit the time of year, so you are not wasting the power stored within the internal battery of the light.

Indoor modes include:

Reading, general, and atmosphere modes. These dim the light to suit the mood you are creating in the building and allow for saving power stored within the internal battery of the light.

Timer modes

Two simple timer functions let you select to have the light at a chosen brightness for 3hrs or 5hrs before either reverting to the original brightness (outdoor mode) or turning off (indoor mode). Both timers can be overridden with the On/Off buttons.

The SolarGo2 SL004 is ideal for so many places you need light but do not want to or cannot install mains powered lighting.

Please note: To get the very best from any solar light the solar panel should have full view of the sky and at least some direct sunlight during the day.

** ASL2.1 Technology gives the ability to preserve its power and slightly dim the main output power when it detects the energy of the Li-ion battery (built into the unit) is starting to run low, Giving you extra days with a working light even when the weather conditions are working against a solar powered system. This technology gives you up to 270% more working time over similar solar products.

** TCS Technology gives the device the ability to protect the internal battery from the high and low extremes in temperature. This in turn extends the life of the battery.

How do I know what mode the light is in?

This light has two main modes, outdoors and indoors. Both are activated via the remote control or the button on the side of the light. When you press this button the light (if some power is available) will shine a coloured LED at you. The colour of the left-hand LED shows you the mode the light is in.

Green = Indoor
Red = Outdoor

What is the difference between indoor and outdoor modes?

The only difference between indoor and outdoor modes is when using the timer function.

  • Indoor mode will turn off when the timer runs out.
  • Outdoor mode will revert to the lighting power setting you had before you pressed the timer button.

The light seems very dim, do I have a problem?

There could be a few reasons for this. Please check the following:

  • The battery in the unit has got low. Please see the below question on how to check my battery power. Then, if needed, charge it back up in the sun.
  • The solar panel position is not getting the sunlight it needs. Please look at repositioning the panel to get the best from the sunlight.

The light was bright at the start of the evening but now seems a lot dimmer, what could be wrong?

This is perfectly normal as after the first 5 hours the light drops it output power to 50%. But just in case you could check the battery has sufficient power. See the battery question below.

Do I need to bring this light in during the winter in the UK?

This is totally up to you. The light is IP65 rated and could stay out all year long, but we do know customers who like to bring the light in for the winter. If you do bring it in for the winter, please make sure to turn the light off by pressing the power button.

I am worried that the internal battery will die, and I will not have a working light, can I replace it?

If your light stops working, please call us and we will help you get it going again. If the Internal battery needs replacing it is something we need to do in our workshop and not something you can do at home, sorry.

I am only getting 2 to 3 hours of light, what is wrong?

This sounds like your battery is in a low state of charge. Please make sure the solar panel is facing the sun as much as possible. Leave the light off for a few days without using it which should let the sunlight charge the battery backup.

How do I know if the built-in battery has got power in it?

This light has a wonderful way of checking the power in the battery looking at the right-hand LED next to the mode LED:

Steady Green = 80% + charge in the battery
Steady Orange = 40% to 80% charge in the battery
Steady Red = under 40% charge in the battery

No LED means your battery is flat and will need two or three days of good sunshine to get back to a normal charge.

I have dropped / broken my light do you have spare parts?

We do carry a few spare parts so please call the office to see what we can do to help.
