Welcome to the classic looking SolarGo2 WL001 security bulkhead light.

Made in strong UV resilient plastic, it is a light that is going to last. This light has 3 working modes to cope with all the lighting needs you may have, ranging from a simple PIR controlled light to a constantly shining light. It includes a simple LED display system showing you the mode it is currently in and the amount of run time left within the battery if continuing to use this mode.

This classic light also has the brilliant ASL2.1 Technology and TCS Technology built in**.

The 3 working modes can be simply selected by pressing the power button.

Mode 1

This gives you a PIR security light that is in a dim 40 lumens until the PIR picks up some movement, It then gives you the full 400 lumens output for 10 seconds before turning off again (unless it registers another movement during this time).

We generally recommend this mode in the UK winter time as it saves more energy for the next day.

Mode 2

This setting gives you a PIR security light that is giving around 100 lumens of light for 3 hours unless the PIR picks up some movement. It then gives you the full 400 lumens output for 10 seconds before turning back to the 100 lumens output again (unless it registers another movement during this time). After the first 3 hours of 100 lumens it dims down to 40 lumens unless activated by the PIR.

Mode 3

This setting gives you a constant 400 lumens output until you turn it off or the sun comes up. The SolarGo2 WL001 is ideal for placing on walkways with walls/fences by the side of them in your garden or on garage entrances, garden room doorways etc.

Please note: To get the very best from any solar light the solar panel should have full view of the sky and at least some direct sunlight during the day.

** ASL2.1 Technology gives the ability to preserve its power and slightly dim the main output power when it detects the energy of the Li-ion battery (built into the unit) is starting to run low, Giving you extra days with a working light even when the weather conditions are working against a solar powered system. This technology gives you up to 270% more working time over similar solar products.

** TCS Technology gives the device the ability to protect the internal battery from the high and low extremes in temperature. This in turn extends the life of the battery.

How do I turn the light on and off?

The ON/OFF/FUNCTION button is on the lower right-hand side of the light. This is a master on/off button and function selecting button.

Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to turn this light on or off.

How do I know what mode the light is in?

This light has three modes, all activated with the ON/OFF/FUNCTION button. Each of the functions will change the LEDs on the front of the unit:

Red = Mode 1

Green = Mode 2

Orange = Mode 3

What does each mode do?

Mode 1: This gives you a PIR security light that runs at 40 lumens until the PIR picks up some movement. It then gives you the full 400 lumens output for 10 seconds before returning to the 40 lumens setting (unless it registers another movement during this time).

Mode 2: This gives you a PIR security light that runs at 100 lumens for 3 hours dropping to 40 lumens until dawn unless the PIR picks up some movement. It then gives you the full 400 lumens output for 10 seconds before returning to the previous setting (unless it registers another movement during this time).

Mode 3: This runs the light at full brightness, 400 lumens, until dawn. This mode will not work in the UK wintertime as you cannot collect enough power from the sun each day.

What are all the LEDs on the front showing?

The centre LED shows the mode you are in.

The 4 blue LEDs light up to indicate how much run time you could have in each mode. You will notice when you change modes you get more or less blue LEDs lighting up indicating the power in that mode.

1 blue LED lit = 1 to 2 days running before flat

2 blue LEDs lit = 2 to 4 days running before flat

3 blue LEDs lit = 4 to 6 days running before flat

4 blue LEDs lit = 6 to 8+ days running before flat

Do I need to bring this light in during the winter in the UK?

No, this light has been designed to remain outside in all weather conditions.

I am worried that the internal battery will die, and I will not have a working light, can I replace it?

If your light stops working, please call us and we will help you get it going again. If the Internal battery needs replacing it is something we need to do in our workshop and not something you can do at home, sorry.

I am only getting 2 to 3 hours of light, what is wrong?

This sounds like your battery is in a low state of charge and you are running the light flat each night. Please try some of the options below to fix it:

Make sure the solar panel part of the light isn't covered up or dirty
Move the light to somewhere it gets more daylight / sun during the day
Try setting the light to Mode 1 as this will only set the light on when movement is detected, saving the power in the battery when it's not being used.

How do I know if the built-in battery has got power in it?

There is a little LED on the light that will indicate the power in the battery once the units running at night.

1 blue LED lit = 1 to 2 days running before flat
2 blue LEDs lit = 2 to 4 days running before flat
3 blue LEDs lit = 4 to 6 days running before flat
4 blue LEDs lit = 6 to 8+ days running before flat
