The inverter is the hardest working part of an installed solar system. In very simple terms, it turns the power collected from the solar panels into a voltage that’s compatible with the mains grid coming into your building. This gives you a seamless power input and you will not even notice when the solar system is active.
Some solar inverters are “Battery ready”, which means they are ready for the installation of a battery system that allows you to capture any unused power from your solar system and store it for use when the solar system isn’t producing any power (for example at night).
But don’t worry if you haven’t got one of the dual inverters as we can still connect your existing system to a battery backed system if required. Most of the inverters we install will give you a simple web interface so you can monitor how well they are working and it’s this that will warn you of any possible problems.
An off-grid system requires a lot more information from you the customer for accurate specification. For example, we need to know what devices you will be using and for how long per day so we can work out your power requirements.
This in turn helps us install the correct size system with batteries to keep you running all year round.
